ICAR AIEEA UG 2020 Syllabus: Apply online up to April 30 - Times of India

National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date to submit the online applications for Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) All India Entrance Examination For Admission (AIEEA) till April 30, 2020.

The interested candidates can submit their online applications for ICAR AIEEA UG 2020 through the official website of NTA ICAR — icar.nta.nic.in.

ICAR AIEEA UG 2020 is being conducted for admission to Bachelor Degree programmes in Agriculture and Allied Sciences (other than Veterinary Sciences), at Agricultural Universities in India.

The official notification in this regard reads “In view of the hardships faced by the parents and the students due to COVID-19 epidemic, the National Testing Agency has extended/ revised the date of submission of Online Application Forms for ICAR’s AIEEA (UG), AIEEA (PG) and AICE-JRF/SRF(Ph.D.) – 2020 examinations as under:”

Indian Council of Agricultural Research ICAR AIEEA (UG) - Introduction

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is an autonomous organization under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India.

The ICAR is the apex body for coordinating, guiding and managing research and education in agriculture including horticulture, fisheries and animal sciences in the entire country.

The ICAR All India Entrance Examination for Admission AIEEA (UG) is conducted for admission to 15% seats of undergraduate/Bachelor’s 4-year degree programs at ICAR accredited Agricultural Universities.

The ICAR has entrusted the responsibility of conducting AIEEA (UG) to the National Testing Agency (NTA) from 2019 onwards.

The candidate should be at least 16 years as on 31 Aug 2020 and must have passed 10+2 Senior Secondary or an equivalent Examination to be eligible to apply for the examination.

Candidates can apply for AIEEA (UG) 2020 in online mode only on the NTA website.

The AIEEA (UG) 2020 will be conducted on Monday, 01 June 2020. (NOTE: Due to COVID-19 pandemic, a revised exam date will be announced by NTA.) 

The AIEEA (UG) 2020 is a single test of 2 hours and 30 minutes duration conducted in Computer Based Test mode.

The candidates have to attempt only three subjects (PCB or PCM or PCA or ABC) in the examination as per the subject combination that they have selected in Application form. (P = Physics; C = Chemistry; B = Biology; M = Mathematics; A = Agriculture)

The National Talent Scholarship (NTS) of Rs. 3000 will be provided per month to every student admitted on ICAR seat through AlEEA (UG) for Bachelor’s (undergraduate) degree program at any Agricultural University in a state outside his/her domicile state.
